Tydeman, Executive Director of Research and Evaluation, McREL International Sinton Soalablai Consultant and Regional Liaison McREL International In this preconference virtual workshop, facilitators will introduce efforts to build a pan-Pacific Community of Practice around the topic of data culture and data use. Facilitators will present an approach to hosting conversations about data which are culturally responsive to Pacific contexts and prioritize community building. We discuss the use of virtual tools to encourage collective praxis for island people, who may often be distanced from each other yet who share many of the same goals and challenges. We hope to create a forum for evaluators working in data culture contexts that are very different from the typical educational setting. |
