Where H-PEA members share, learn, and co-create evaluation ʻike together in informal small group settings.

Timing: Quarterly, four times a year on Wednesdays on the fourth week of Jan, April, July, and October

The events are free for members. If you are not a member, it is $30.

First Event

Title: AI in Evaluation H-PEA ʻIke Jam

Time and Date: Jan 28, 12:00-1:15

Description: H-PEA ʻIke Jam is a virtual informal peer exchange series where H-PEA members share, learn, and co-create tools, processes, and ideas. There are no presenters, just peers to learn from each other!

In our first Jam session, members come to share the general AI tools and functions they have tried and want to learn more about. Participants can choose one of the topics to join to discuss in Zoom breakout rooms of 4-6 people:

  • AI for quantitative data and programs (e.g., Excel)
  • AI for qualitative data
  • AI for presentation and reports
  • AI ethics and cultural knowledge

In the breakout rooms, participants can explore collaboratively:

  • AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, NoteBook LM)
  • Specific tasks that AI is good for
  • AI prompt engineering
  • Cautions and limitations

Come prepared to share one tip, technique, or question that you have.
